F17 media production for next half for Fedora Sri Lanka Community

on May 5, 2012

Since F17 release is on the way I am stepping out to produce F17 media for the Sri Lanka Community needs. Fedora DVDs and CDs in 32 and 64 bits will be produced.

The number of media will be finalized with the Fedora FAms requests and other community members requests.  Requests can be made till 12th May and I ll be finalizing the amount and create the ticket for approval after that. Media will be made available on or before the first weeks of June so that we can have release parties soon.

Since Software Freedom Day is on September we should be ready for that. Last year some local communities asked some media but I could not satisfy all the requests. Therefore I ll be contacting them and see if there is any need in this year as well.

  2. Kevin Kofler says:

Are you going to produce the Multi Desktop Live DVDs? They have been very successful in Europe/EMEA, they allow people to try out all the desktop environments rather than just one and they support both 32 and 64 bits (automatically detected).

  3. Most of the time yes. But waiting to see what community needs.

Please add your valuable idea below, will make a discussion, thanks !
